DescriptionChebucto Links is a community outreach association in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We endeavour to enable older persons to live independently, safely and maintain the quality of life they desire in their community. Chebucto Links works in partnership with other organizations and government to respond to requests and concerns from and about the elderly. Programs which seniors have indicated they want and require are developed and provided.Established in 1995, Chebucto Links was a response to a needs assessment carried out by community churches concerned about seniors within the Chebucto Area. Based on a community development model, Chebucto Links now offers information and resources to more than 3000 seniors living in our neighbourhood. Our mandate is recognizing a smaller community within the city, making it easier to discover unmet needs and to establish volunteer efforts to address them.
