TapSenior Family+ Membership Card Is Now Renamed the TapSenior Card

TapSenior is pleased to announce an important update to the name of our membership card. Effective August 28, 2026, the TapSenior Family+ membership card will officially be renamed the TapSenior card. This change is part of our ongoing effort to build a clearer, simpler, and more recognizable identity for the TapSenior community. By placing the TapSenior name directly on the card, we are making it easier for members, families, service providers, community partners, and participating businesses to recognize and understand the program.

The previous name, TapSenior Family+, was originally selected to reflect the important role that families play in supporting older adults. In many situations, adult children, relatives, caregivers, and trusted friends help seniors arrange services, manage appointments, access community resources, and remain connected. That idea continues to be an important part of the TapSenior mission. However, as the program has continued to grow, we believe the shorter name “TapSenior” more accurately represents the full community that the membership card is designed to serve.

The TapSenior card is intended to be simple, inclusive, and easy to recognize. The new name welcomes seniors who manage their own memberships, family members who arrange support on behalf of a loved one, caregivers who assist with daily needs, and community partners who help older adults remain active and independent. Removing “Family+” from the main card name allows TapSenior to speak directly to every member without suggesting that participation is limited to a particular family structure or type of household.

This announcement represents a change in name only. Existing TapSenior Family+ members do not need to cancel their memberships, register again, or complete a new application because of this update. Membership accounts will remain active, and current member information will continue to be recognized within the TapSenior system. Any benefits, services, eligibility, membership periods, or account details currently associated with a member will remain unchanged unless TapSenior communicates a separate update directly to that member.

Existing TapSenior Family+ cards will continue to be recognized during the transition period. Members who currently possess a card displaying the TapSenior Family+ name may continue to use it according to the applicable membership terms. There is no need to stop using an existing card simply because the program name has changed. TapSenior will gradually update its digital materials, printed materials, membership communications, online pages, and other program references to reflect the new TapSenior card name.

Newly issued cards and future card designs will display the TapSenior name. Depending on when a card was created, printed, downloaded, or delivered, some members may temporarily see both names in different places. For example, an older email, membership record, confirmation message, or printed card may still refer to TapSenior Family+, while a newer website page or digital card may use the TapSenior name. Both references relate to the same membership program during this transition.

The decision to adopt the TapSenior name also supports the long-term development of a unified senior membership community. TapSenior is more than the name printed on a card. It represents a growing connection among seniors, families, local organizations, service providers, community programs, and businesses that share an interest in helping older adults live with greater confidence, convenience, dignity, and independence. A consistent name helps every part of this community communicate more clearly and makes the membership easier to introduce across different cities and regions.

The new name also provides greater flexibility as TapSenior develops. Older adults have different needs, preferences, living arrangements, and levels of family involvement. Some seniors live independently and make all of their own decisions. Others receive regular assistance from children, relatives, friends, caregivers, or community workers. The TapSenior card is designed to recognize this diversity. By using one inclusive name, we can welcome all members while continuing to respect the valuable contribution of families and support networks.

Our central purpose remains unchanged. TapSenior is committed to supporting initiatives, relationships, and resources that contribute to independent aging and stronger communities. We want the TapSenior name to be associated with respect, trust, accessibility, and meaningful support for older adults. Renaming the card is a practical step toward presenting that purpose in a more direct and memorable way.

Members may begin referring to their membership card simply as the TapSenior card as of August 28, 2026. Community partners and participating organizations are also encouraged to update their references from TapSenior Family+ to TapSenior when creating new communications or materials. Existing materials do not need to be replaced immediately unless otherwise requested. The change can be introduced gradually to avoid unnecessary confusion or waste.

We understand that even a simple name change may raise questions. Members may wonder whether their account, card number, access, or membership status will be affected. We want to reassure everyone that the renaming of the card does not, by itself, alter these details. If any future changes are made to membership benefits, pricing, eligibility, renewal procedures, or participating services, those changes will be communicated separately and clearly. This announcement should not be interpreted as notice of any change beyond the official card name.

TapSenior sincerely appreciates every senior, family member, caregiver, partner, and community supporter who has participated in the program and helped shape its direction. Your involvement has encouraged us to create a membership identity that is easier to understand and broad enough to represent the entire TapSenior community. We believe the TapSenior card will provide a stronger and more recognizable foundation as the program continues to expand.

Effective August 28, 2026, the official name of the TapSenior Family+ membership card is the TapSenior card. Although the name is becoming shorter, our commitment remains strong: to support seniors, connect families and communities, and encourage older adults to age independently with greater access to helpful services, trusted relationships, and meaningful opportunities.
